D16Y8 Build

D16Y8 Build - Hey guys, so i got a d16y8. Fully built d16 engines find their limit at about 750hp before the block itself cracks in two. Also the gt35 will be pretty laggy on a d16. This summer i will be rebuilding my d16y8 (in a 96 civic ex)for boost; Stock internals good to about 200. You should go with a 50. You should go atleast 550 cc with that type of build. For all the money you will spend building that d, you can have a boosted or built na b series. Are they still reliable at this mileage? Simple oem ls/vtec builds can net close to 200whp.

Stock internals good to about 200. This summer i will be rebuilding my d16y8 (in a 96 civic ex)for boost; I have put together a parts list (in no particular order) of everything i could think of off. Also, is it worth it to just add basic bolt ons? Currently have a stock d16y8 the goal like i said is to boost it and have 400+hp, to the wheels not to the crank. Forged rods and pistons, arp head studs and a good head. You are going to need bigger injectors then 330cc. You should go atleast 550 cc with that type of build. Currently looking at a 1998 coupe with 230,000 miles on the d16y8. All stock, my goal is to get this thing up to turbo and i was wondering if you all could help me out with ideas on what to upgrade in my engine so it.

You want a fresh bore on a higher horsepower build. For all the money you will spend building that d, you can have a boosted or built na b series. Hey guys, so i got a d16y8. Currently looking at a 1998 coupe with 230,000 miles on the d16y8.

Stock Injectors Are Perfect For This Build, Provided They Are Not Dirty.

My plans are to build up the engine then swap it into my 96 civic hb cx this summer and turbo charge it as my daily. My d16y8/z6 build so i’m kinda new to honda and building stuff of this level but this is my d16y8 block with z6 head that i picked up from my buddies motor pile, so far the blocks been built. Forged rods and pistons, arp head studs and a good head. You should go atleast 550 cc with that type of build.

The Lone Exception Is D16Y7 Injectors.

Currently have a stock d16y8 the goal like i said is to boost it and have 400+hp, to the wheels not to the crank. I’m okay with the idea of engine. Fully built d16 engines find their limit at about 750hp before the block itself cracks in two. Also, is it worth it to just add basic bolt ons?
