Build A Wood Smoker
Build A Wood Smoker - I smoked some venison jerky tonight and it was painfully bitter! Got from company going out of business) air compressor tank as the cooking chamber. I wold like to make a small wood book ezer to build and cheaper. I have looked at steel, brick, and wood smokers and have come to the conclusion that a wood smoker is best for me, since i don't have any experience with welding, and i would like to have something that is at least moveable, if not portable. I don’t have enough draw/updraft to keep the smoke “clean”. With encouragement of civilsmoker and jckdanls 07, i will post here as i design and build the smoker. Check this photo of my friend waldemar who build his smoker for free, yet he will make a better smoked product than any of the $50,000 smokers. So wood will hold up to that kind of heat??? In simple terms, the mailbox mod is attaching a commonly available rural style mailbox to the smoker w 3 al flex, solid pipe, angles, etc., to act a a smoke source. I spend a lot of time going back thru all the old thread looking at the builds i figured i would start collecting the links and make it easier for everyone else to see them.
